Oblast research competitions

1. Joint competition of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Tomsk Oblast Administration (once every two years since 2004)
2. Joint competition of the Russian Humanities Research Fund and the Tomsk Oblast Administration (once every two years since 1997)  
3. Tomsk Oblast competition of applied R&D (since 1996, under Decree of the Tomsk Oblast Administration No. 128a of June 30, 2008)

Oblast competitions of innovative projects

• Budget subsidies of up to 500,000 rubles for small innovative start-ups. Decree of the Tomsk Oblast Administration No. 102a of April 8, 2011 “On competitions of small innovative start-ups for budget subsidies.” 
• Budget subsidies of up to 5,000,000 rubles to existing innovative companies (one year or older) implementing innovative projects. Decree of the Tomsk Oblast Administration No. 273a of September 9, 2011 “On approval of the regulations on budget subsidies to reimburse part of expenses incurred by small and medium enterprises – existing innovative companies implementing innovative projects.” 
• Budget subsidies of at least 4,000,000 rubles for the creation of high technology manufacturing facilities in Tomsk Oblast. Decree of the Tomsk Oblast Administration No. 340a of November 1, 2011 “On granting budget subsidies to reimburse the expenses in relation to complex (innovative) projects for the creation of high technology manufacturing facilities in Tomsk Oblast.”
