Tomsk Agency for Investment Promotion

Tomsk Agency for Investment Promotion, OOO (Limited Liability Company) was established in June 2007.

Objective: Development of strategic cooperation with potential investors for implementation of investment projects in Tomsk Oblast, including projects co-funded by development institutes of the Russian Federation.

2007-2009: TAIP carried out its activities under a government contract for provision of services to attract investments to Tomsk Oblast 2010: TAIP is a Venture Partner of OOO Russian Venture Company Seed Fund (Certificate No. 10019)TAIP together with the Tomsk City Administration host a representative office of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises.

TAIP is on the list of infrastructure organizations supporting small and medium business in Tomsk Oblast.

2011: TAIP was the Operator of the Investment Session BRIDGE to SUCCESS and a co-sponsor of a number of investment-related events such as "Investment Seasons, Tomsk 2011", roundtable session "Economy of New City", road-show of Tomsk Oblast in Moscow, etc.

What TAIP Does

• Works with Russian development institutes (RUSNANO State Corporation, Investment Fund of the Russian Federation, Vnesheconombank State Corporation, OAO Russian Venture Company)Searches for new residents of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone of Technical Innovation Type
• Prepares funding applications for seed and venture investments for projects by small innovative enterprises of the region
• Implements programs developed by the representative office of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Tomsk Oblast
• Support implementation of investment projects
• Evaluates market potential of investment projects and innovations

What TAIP Has Done

• Works with Russian development institutes (RUSNANO State Corporation, Investment Fund of the Russian Federation, Vnesheconombank State Corporation, OAO Russian Venture Company, Foundation for Development of the Center for Research and Commercialization of New Technologies (Skolkovo Foundation)).
• Preparation of funding applications for two complex regional investment projects to the Russian Investment Fund. As of September 1, 2010 funding of one of the projects was approved. Federal funds raised in 2009-2010 totaled over 300 million rubles.
• Preparation of a funding application to RUSNANO for a complex project for development of a cluster of LED light sources at the facilities of the Semiconductor Research Institute and ZAO Svet 21 Veka. Tomsk Lighting Equipment Factory (in cooperation with RUSNANO and OAO Ruselectronics). The project was approved by RUSNANO Science and Technology Council.
• Expert review of projects and preparation of funding applications to the Investment Committee of the Russian Venture Company Seed Fund.
• Organization and holding of investment-related events with the involvement of Russian and foreign investors. 
• Assistance in placing 9 companies in the Tomsk SEZ (OOO Elecard Devices, OOO MedLine, OOO Research and Manufacturing Company STRELA, OOO Prikladnaya Elektronika ("Applied Electronics"), OOO Akvazon, OOO RID, OOO IPHAR, OOO Stroitekhinnovatsii TDSK, etc.).
• Assistance to a number of innovative companies in launching large-scale production (OOO Akvazon, OOO Infocom, OOO Elecard Display, OOO RID, OOO Senseria, OOO Sorbent Plus, OOO Technoanalit, OOO IPHAR, etc.). Preparation of business plans for construction of manufacturing facilities of various industries (biotechnology, mechanical engineering, logistics, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, petrochemical and forest industries, construction materials manufacture, packaging, drugstore business, services sector, electrochemical industry).
• Analytical research and studies of various aspects of the socioeconomic development of the region (HR, innovative business, small business, industrial policy).
• Development, monitoring, and expert review of regional and industrial strategies and development programs.
