Banks

The bank sector has its own up-to-date developed structure able to provide functioning of basic financial mechanisms of the investment processes. As of October 1, 2008 Tomsk Oblast bank sector is represented by 4 regional banks and their 10 branches; 26 offices of credit agencies of other regions (incl. 5 offices of JSC Sberbank of Russia), 6 representative offices of credit agencies and 252 internal structural subdivisions of credit agencies and branches (subsidiary offices, transaction centers, lending and cash services offices, transaction cash offices beside the front office, mobile centers for cash transactions). As for October 1, 2008  there are 47 credit agencies (or their branches) of other regions in Tomsk Oblast.

Twenty one banks out of thirty first-rate banks of the Russian Federation allocate their subdivisions in the Oblast territory.

The banks perform all transactions present in the market of financial services, including services provided to the private and corporative customers. New bank products are being developed. They meet the principal trends and demands of market development as well as customers’ needs. They meet the basic demands of the market development and of the customers. Due to the wide and branching network of correspondence relations with foreign banks, the credit agencies operating in the Oblast are able to carry out transactions with the banks of various countries of the world.
