August 20-24, a delegation of Bialystok, Poland, led by the president (mayor) Tadeusz Truskolaski worked in Tomsk Region.

The visit included meetings at the Tomsk Region Administration, Tomsk Mayor's Office, Tomsk Special Economic Zone, Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, etc. The subjects of discussions were cooperation in the industrial processing of edible wild berries, youth exchanges, museum affairs, cooperation between universities, and creation of the Siberian Museum of Memory in Bialystok dedicated to the Polish exiles to Siberia. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tomsk and Bialystok.
