August 4-5, Consul General of Ukraine in Novosibirsk Vasilij Turok made a working visit to Tomsk.
He met with the Governor of Tomsk Region Viktor Kress to discuss current economic, educational, scientific, and cultural relations of the businesses and organizations of Tomsk and Ukraine. The Governor of Tomsk Region expressed his interest in establishing partner and twin-region relations with one of the regions of Ukraine. Viktor Kress suggested to consider Odessa Region. The Consul General recommended Lvov Region as it has many common features with Tomsk Region. Vasilij Turok also visited a number of manufacturing enterprises of Tomsk which are interested in enhancing the trade and economic cooperation with Ukraine. He met with the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Tomsk and made a visit to the Dzherelo Center of Ukrainian Culture in Tomsk.
