September 30, a delegation of Tomsk Region led by the Mayor of Tomsk took part in the XVIII session of the Russian-French Economic, Financial, Industrial, and Trade Council (CEFIK) in Paris.

The session was co-chaired by Aleksander Zhukov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Franзois Baroin, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industry of France. At the session special attention was paid to Russia-France partnership in modernization and relations of technology platforms, and systemic issues of the bilateral cooperation in trade and investments. On the day before the session, September 29, the Tomsk Region delegation took part in the conference "Key Technologies of France for 2015-2020 and Russian-French Technological Cooperation in Energy Efficiency" organized by the Russian-French Energy Efficiency Center. French companies such as EDF, Dalkia, Schneider Electric, СNIM, and the Russian Energy Agency expressed interest in cooperation with Tomsk. One of the potential joint projects under consideration is construction of a garbage recycling plant meeting high environmental standards in Tomsk in cooperation with СNIM, the European leader in that field.
