Scientists from Tomsk got the Government Premium for elaboration for the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The group of scientists from Tomsk got the prestigious premium 2013 from the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technologies for the development and implementation of geographically-distributed integrated monitoring alarm and control systems which are on the operational readiness in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation all over the territory of the country.
As it was reported in the press service of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, the achieved result is a fruit of a long creative collaboration of the scientists from the Institute of Cybernetics and specialists of the group of companies "INKOM". The monitoring, alarm and control systems which integrate the modern achievements of information, telecommunication, navigation and airspace technologies designed as results of the research are well-known in many organizations and structures. In particular, since 2010 elaborated and implemented system has been on the operational readiness in the internal forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation all over the territory of the country.
The systems that monitor the fire situation were implemented in 25 regions of the Russian Federation, tsunami detection and prevention systems are used in Kamchatka Krai and Sakhalin, the systems of selection and procession of meteo dates are implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
According to scientists, the work took advantages because the due attention was given to the questions of information safety which were conducted under the direction of Professor Alexander Shelupanov, the Pro-rector for Research of the Tomsk State University of controlling systems and radioelectronics, the member of the authoring team.
The works which obtained the prize will be developed in the framework of a new laboratory of the Tomsk Polytechnic University created together with the Institute of Marine Technologies Problems of the Far-Eastern Division of the Russian Academy of Science.
