Tomsk Region one of the Russian development macro-regions

Tomsk Region became one of the 18 Russian macro-regions of priority post-crisis socio-economic development, First Deputy Governor of Tomsk Region Oksana Kozlovskaya said at the conference «New Russian Industrialization». There are five such macro-regions in Siberia.

Predictive research «Post-crisis development of Russia» was carried out by an expert task force for the Russian State Council to evaluate the post-crisis outlook for Russia. The task force was created by a decree of the Russian government. The experts selected 18 out of 83 regions for major steps in socio-economic development of Russia, Tomsk Region among them.
