General Manager of NIOST visited Norner AS headquarters in Norway

10.08.2012

NIOST General Manager Roman Ashirov met with Norner AS Business Development Manager Lars Evensen in Norner AS headquarters in Norway. They discussed potential areas of cooperation in research activity and experience sharing mechanisms.

Development of polypropylene stabilization formulas was on top of the agenda. Specialized training for researchers as part of the project to establish a reagents certification center in NIOST was also among the subjects of the meeting. Lars Evensen suggested organizing on-the-job training which would consist of working on the goals of NIOST's projects to make the training truly effective.

Previously, NIOST together with SIBUR's Basic Polymers Division organized for SIBUR's employees a special polyolefin additives training session with Norner's experts. That session was the first step towards a reagents certification center for SIBUR companies later established in NIOST. Early in July SIBUR and Norner AS had negotiations on specialized training for NIOST's people, modernization of laboratories, optimization of the procurement process in SIBUR by introducing certificates issued by the reagents certification center and cross-functional interaction among the research centers of the company, business customers, purchasing groups and product managers.
