Governor’s Expert Council created to monitor socioeconomic development indicators of Tomsk Region

Sergey Zhvachkin, Governor of Tomsk Region signed an order on the creation of a Governor's expert council for the monitoring of performance on socioeconomic development targets established by the President of Russia.

The Expert Council will be a consultative and deliberative body which will consider issues related to socioeconomic development levels and dynamics in Tomsk Region.

The functions of the council include identification, forecasting and mitigation of systemic socioeconomic risks. One of its tasks of special importance is to review the results of the effort to increase salaries of people working in state-funded organizations. The council will also provide expert evaluation of the effectiveness of the executive and local governments in key areas and submit to the Governor improvement proposals for the economic, social and population policies in Tomsk Region.
