Russian Ministry for Economic Development approves three new Tomsk SEZ residents

On July 18, 2012 a meeting of the Expert Council for Special Economic Zones of Technical Innovation Type took place in Moscow.

Three potential residents of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone presented their projects and the existing residents presented their revised business plans.

The newcomers plan to invest more than 500m rubles in total in the development of the Northern and Southern Sites of Tomsk SEZ.

The Expert Council resolved to grant the status of Tomsk SEZ resident to OOO Diagnostika +, OOO Bosch Center of Technologies and ZAO NPO Sphera.

Each company will enter into an agreement on innovation activity in the Tomsk SEZ and receive official status as a SEZ resident. Thus, the number of residents in the Tomsk SEZ will grow to 60.

OOO Diagnostika +

"Development and setup of commercial production, sales and after-sales service of 'smart' innovative medical systems for medical diagnostics and therapeutic applications"

End products:

• Portable bronchophonograph. The bronchophonograph improves the efficiency of diagnostics and capturing respiratory sounds using digital filters. They eliminate human factors such as the qualification of the doctor and others. The device enables capturing and classifying important but faint sounds and murmurs which under normal conditions are distorted by louder sounds. The bronchophonograph will help diagnose and monitor bronchopulmonary diseases in patients of all age groups, and provide better judgment on the effectiveness of treatment methods
• Automated intravenous drug administration control and patient condition monitoring system. The system will control the infusion of drugs administered both by means of IV infusion sets and syringes, control parameters of the process, record the administered drugs, and monitor the actions of the medical staff and the condition of the patient

The company will lease the premises of the Tomsk SEZ's Center for Research and Innovations.

OOO Bosch Center of Technologies

"Tomsk research and production center for BOSCH technology localization"

After talks with OOO Bosch Distribution Center a decision was taken to set up the second in Russia Bosch Center of Technologies in Tomsk. It will develop, produce and sell intelligent fire and security systems for building fire and security monitoring systems which will provide communication between the field equipment and the monitoring station. The system is designed as a stand-alone unit connectable to all types of standard equipment.
The company will build a 5,000 sqm research and production facility on a 1.12 ha land plot on the Southern Site of the Tomsk SEZ.

ZAO NPO Sphera

"Development of carbon fluorination technology and setup of a carbon fluoride production facility"

The key product under the project is carbon fluoride (СFx)n. It is widely used as additive to release materials and hard greases; cathode material for Li/(CFx)n batteries; water and oil repellent; anti-freeze and corrosion inhibiting coating; and a number of other applications.

The production facility will be set up on the Northern Site of the Tomsk SEZ. The production premises will have the area of 1.72 hectares. The administrative and production building will have the total area of around 4,000 sqm. It will be commissioned in a year and a half after the start of the project. Commercial production of carbon fluoride will be launched in two years and a half after the start of the project.
