Singapore’s company to develop master plans for the Tomsk SEZ

17.07.2012

Singapore's Jurong Consultants (a division of Jurong International) will have completed a strategic study of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone of Technical Innovation Type and provide a detailed master plan for the development of its sites by the end of 2012.

The study is divided into three phases. The first phase – a strategic study of the SEZ and investigation into opportunities to attract large international companies – is close to completion. The second and the third phases involve the development of a detailed master plan for the Northern and Southern Sites.

Most questions asked at the meeting of the Singaporeans with the Region government were about the construction of roads connecting the SEZ sites with the rail and bus stations and the airport, and suburban highways.

Currently, Tomsk is building and repairing 20 km of roads. Roads with the heaviest traffic are being repaired first.
