On March 22, Russia and Great Britain will have a very special live video meeting. For the first time in the world people will talk over a 3D video conference without having to put on special glasses. According to the press service of the Tomsk SEZ, students, instructors, experts, journalists, and business people from Tomsk and London will be able to experience a real participation effect without 3D glasses while discussing the future of 3D technologies in education and business, asking and answering questions, and playing an interactive business game.

"This 3D video conference has become reality through solutions by Triaxes, a leading developer of glasses free 3D technologies. Triaxes is part of the Elecard group. Special Dimenco 3D displays are used to play this video format. The companies' collaborative effort has produced an innovative real time 3D system for a glasses free display," reads the news release by the SEZ's press service.

The video conference "Glasses Free 3D Technologies: Development and Application" was initiated by two schools of thought – National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk, Russia) and Ravensbourne University (London, England) which specializes in digital media and design innovations.
