The first in Russia, the world’s second Plant of the German company MOJE Keramik-Implantate GmbH&Co producing orthopedic, dental and neurosurgical implants by using nanostructured zirconium oxide ceramics started its operations on the territory of special economical zone “Tomsk”.

Alexey Knyazev, Deputy Governor for scientific-educational complex and innovation policy, the German project partner Hans-Jurgen Moje, acting head of the management company of the special economical zone “Tomsk” Konstantin Kaminsky and the head of “MOJE Keramik-Implantate” LLC Anatoly Karpov took part in the innovative production opening.

“The Governor opened the bio workshop within the special economic zone “Tomsk” in spring, half a year later the first resident of “MOJE Keramik-Implantate” deployed the production on its territory, certified according to the European technology. This is a landmark event for us, life has begun for the workshop” - Alexey Knyazev said.

Production in Russia allowed us to bring the flexible production line closer to the needs of Russian patients. Now we can produce customized implants by the surgeon’s order for his patient within two weeks by means of computer simulation and solve the most complex clinical problems regarding prosthetics of minor joints” - the German project partner Hans-Jurgen Moje reported.

Full production cycle, starting with Japanese super clean zirconium oxide powder and ending with sterilization and packaging of finished implant, became a logical step in the development of Tomsk semi-finished product manufacturing, launched in the engineering building of the special economical zone last year.

Nowadays we are 100 percent sure of the quality of our manufacturing products.  “MOJE Keramik-Implantate” committed to cope with the challenge – to prove to the Russian surgeons that medical goods produced in Russia can be of good quality.

We offer a lifetime quality assurance for our implants, transport the surgeons to the place of production, in the coming year a system will be introduced on our web site, allowing a surgeon or a patient to enter the individual number of the implant and look through all test protocols for a particular batch of goods and personally ensure their reliability, - Anatoly Karpov, the Director of the resident company within the special economical zone “Tomsk” said.

He also noted that Russian and German companies were merged to form integrated technology group and together undergo the annual European audit for compliance with the requirements of the European Directive 93/42/ЕЕС and ISO 13485.
