Tomsk Region the most socially and politically stable region in Russia

Tomsk region took the first place in the social and political stability rating among the Russian regions, prepared by the “Petersburg politics” fund. With the average Russian stability level of 6.46 балла in November the region is assigned 8.3.

The Tomsk Region exhibits great dynamics in the rating of social and political stability of 2013. Only in July the region took the 34th place, in August it was on the 19th, in September on the 17th, it became the second in the country in October and the first in November. 

Among the positive events of November in the Tomsk Region the fund experts highlighted launching of BOPP film production, negotiations between the governor Sergey Zhvachkin and B&N Bank supervisors on the renovation of green factory project, his negotiations with the World Bank and Mitsui company representatives on the participation in the innovation economy, visits of Tomsk business community to Mexico and Finland, opening of a pool in Asino and Gazprom funding of Tomsk waterfront project.

The top three leaders include Amur and Samara regions. Apart from Tomsk Region, among other SFD regions, Republic of Khakassia also attained maximum stability, taking the 10th place in the rating. The Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions got 20th and 25th position respectively, Krasnoyarsk and Omsk regions - на 63rd and 73rd positions.
