21.06.2013

This was reported by the Deputy Governor for scientific-educational complex and innovation policy, Aleksey Knyazev at a working meeting that he held with the Vice-Governor for production sector, oil and energy, Leonid Reznikov.

“Allocation of resources from the federal budget for creation of the engineering center has been agreed in the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia,  - Aleksey Knyazev said, – thereby the management consulting company at the engineering center will be established this year and the subsidies of 41,5 million roubles will be provided to pay for engineering services to the Tomsk innovation companies”.

Aleksey Knyazev and Leonid Reznikov discussed interaction of industrial enterprises with innovation companies for establishing the regional engineering center.

Engineering services are provided by more than 100 companies (including higher education institutions, the largest industry companies) and much more companies are in need for their services, but it is difficult to find each other for both parties. Therefore, we will solve this task through creation of the center and construction of a single building in the Technology Innovative zone to locate the engineering companies”, - Aleskey Knyazev noted.

According to the Deputy Governor for scientific-educational complex, 18 Tomsk companies are ready to deliver engineering services and move into one building. According to a preliminary analysis small enterprises have a need for engineering services in the following areas: instrument-making, medical devices, IT, biopharmaceuticals.

In his turn Leonid Reznikov noted that there is an interest from large industrial enterprises in establishing the center, which will make it possible to save considerable sums of money on duplicating production of particular pilot projects.

“Creation of the center is vitally important for the Tomsk region. Large-scale industry will enable the innovative companies to stand on their own feet and pass the riskiest stage, saving their own funds when developing new products”, - Vice-Governor for production sector, oil and energy emphasized.

In the near future the Tomsk Region Administration will announce the beginning of the monitoring of needs and capabilities of theal enterprises providing engineering services.

The engineering center will become the fourth building in the Tomsk special economic zone (SEZ), it will be built instead of previously planned administrative building. Planned total area is 25 thousand square m.
