Crystal T building in Tomsk SEZ to be commissioned by the end of 2014

Crystal T, the SEZ resident, continues the construction of production facility on the SEZ South ground.  

The building is planned to be commissioned by the end of 2014.

The research building is meant for crystallization process and crystal growth research, for production and laboratory validation of samples, and further for industrial manufacture of crystals and their implementation in electronics, microelectronics, instrument engineering, optics, biology, medicine.

The construction of SEZ the resident building on the Razvitiye (“Development”) Avenue, next to the  Scientific implementation center, began in 2012. Today the work is underway: the 4th out of 6 floor is being constructed, hi-tech style.

“The new building is designed according to the state-of-the-art standards of laboratory testing. It will host all stages of production, from the growth of crystals to the creation of lasers and laser systems. Besides the production center in the new building we also want to create research center, where along with innovational development we will also teach students, we’re already preparing human resources for the company”, said Crystal T CEO Viktor Krakovsky.

According to him, the new building will feature administration offices and laboratory facilities, with conference hall, dining place, school laboratory. The building is designed to host 200 employees.

Crystal T was founded in 2008 for the pilot production organization of NLO crystals and laser equipment.  Since November 19, 2008 it has been the SEZ Tomsk resident.  There are 115 million rubles invested in the project at the moment, and the total finding will amount to 325 million.

The project also assumes the pilot production of ferroelectric and ferromagnetic oxide crystals and based on them nanostructures for nanophotonics, nonlinear optics and laser equipment. The park of unique growth units was created during the company’s existence, along with KTP monocrystal growth technology, the ground for mechanical processing and polishing of crystal. The production of NLO and electro-optic elements and devices was also utilized, along with original methods and stands for measuring their features.   The main products today are NLO crystals and devices of nonlinear and electro-optics based on them. The devices based on NLO crystals can modulate laser radiation, transform its frequency (wave length), change the direction of propagation.
