13.09.2013

Leonid Reznikov, deputy governor of the Tomsk region for industry and fuel and energy complex and Maksim Tynyanov, head of department of transport, road management and communication visited Strezhevoy.

In the “Northern capital” of the Tomsk region Leonid Reznikov met the delegation of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region government, headed by vice-governor Dmitry Shapovalov. The vice-governors discussed the cooperation on the construction of the bridge over the river Vakh, that would link Strezhevoy and Yugra. Prior to the meeting Leonid Reznikov had inspected the construction site and gave a high rating of the quality and pace of work.

“We’re solving the issue of road and transport system of the region, set by the governor. This would allow the region economy to move to a new level”, said Leonid Reznikov.

The builders have already assembled 170 meters of metallic structures, which is a sixth of the whole bridge.  The project is funded according to schedule from the federal and two regional budgets.

Leonid Reznikov said that the start of transit traffic is planned for 2014. The bridge approaches are at the maximum degree of completion on the side of Nizhnevartovsk and at completion stage on the side of Strezhevoy.

Information:

The designing of the bridge for the setting of oil and gas fields of the Tomsk region began in the end of the 70s. Due to lack of funding the construction was delayed and then was quite slow.  In June 2012 the Tomsk region governor Sergey Zhvachkin and head of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region Natalya Komarova signed an agreement between the regions, and the construction was revived. The bridge will lonk the city of Strezhevoy and the Aleksandrov district of the Tomsk region with Nizhnevartovsk, which has communication with the Urals.
