“Micran” got the status of russian manufacturer of telecommunication equipment

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation gave status of telecommunication equipment of Russian manufacturing to the MIK-RL digital radio relay stations designed and manufactured by CJSC "Research and production company "Micran”.

As was reported in the press serves, RPC ”Micran”, according to the technique of parameter value detection, the minimum point for obtaining the status was 70, the maximum possible was 100 points from which Micran surely got 95. One of the key conditions was confirmation of the rights on construction documentation and software which are used in Telecommunications Equipment in volume sufficient for its manufacturing, modernization and development, and also the existence of the scientific and production basis which is needed for organization of manufacturing, warranty and post-warranty service of the telecommunications equipment.

As a rule the professional telecommunications equipment is exploited for 7 to 10 years, and during all this period the full maintenance should be provided. There are many examples when the manufacturing company, which practically is an integrator of the fabricated assemblies bought from other manufacturers stopped servicing of supplied equipment due to changes of supply conditions or production end of these assemblies.

The official approval of “Micran” Company abilities to maintain the products during the whole operational lifetime from designing till post-warranty service gives clients assurance in quality of service support during the complete operational period and guarantees the compatibility of new solutions with already provided equipment , minimizing implementation expenses.

Today, RPC ”Micran” is one of the leading national enterprises in the field of development and industrial manufacturing of super-high frequencies equipment for wire free communications systems of different purposes. Today over 1 300 employees work at the enterprise. The full range of equipment is designed and manufactured by “Micran”, providing wireless transportation nets from highway to “the last mile” unified in a single control and monitoring system. The telecommunications equipment MIK-RL found wide usage in Russia and beyond .

“The Government is actively forming mechanisms which help to support and develop national conception and production of high-technology products. The absence of the exact criteria as to which product could be regarded as national, allowed companies to misrepresent the functionally completed products of foreign manufacturing which were purchased by import under the guise of components kits,” said Alexander Maishev, the Director of the Marketing and Sale Department.

According to him the situation has changed along with acceptance of the regulations as to the process of status awarding to the telecommunications equipment of Russian manufacturing. The official acceptance of the “Micran” equipment as national product allows the company not only to compete in the segment of public sector customers more successfully but also often to become monopolist providing steadiness and stable growth of enterprise and all national radioelectronics branch.
