In the Tomsk Region 60 residents who manufactured in 2013 a number of goods that passed customs procedure for 10.2 million dollars were registered (increase by 27% in comparison with the last year). The residents will get benefits for goods import if the imported goods amount to over 30 million rubles.

A new customs security check point (CSCP) will be opened on the territory of the South ground of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in 2014. “It will allow to simplify the procedure for the residents”, said on Thursday Alexander Skovorodnikov, the Deputy Customs Director of Tomsk.

According to him, previously due to the absence of CSCP on SEZ, the residents had to get admittance of the Federal Customs Service to import goods without paying the customs duty. As soon as CSCP starts operation the admittance will not be needed. "One object of the customs infrastructure - the South CSCP – has been prepared. It is a big center with inspection room where the gate for equipment transportation is provided. The admission of the whole infrastructure of the computer network and the building itself is underway", declared Skovorodnikov.

At the moment in the structure of goods turnover of the companies working in SEZ, the import of component parts to the earlier supplied equipment and also component parts for manufacturing modules for the NMT cellular base stations of the 4th generation (4G) prevails.
