National Rating Agency publishes the review: Tomsk region investment potential

28.07.2014

National Rating Agency (NRA) begins publication of regional analytical reviews series, dedicated to the investment potential of the regions, whose appeal was highly praised in the distant rating of Russian regions investment appeal, National Rating Agency.

The purpose of these reviews is to provide investors with the fullest information possible and objective picture of the investment climate and possibilities of Russia’s leading regions. Analytical reviews might also be interesting to the heads of other Russian constituent estates as a tool for studying the best practices of investment climate.

The first regional analytical review is dedicated to the Tomsk region – the only region of Siberian Federal District, listed  due to NRA 2013 rating as “high investment appeal” (IC3 group, high investment appeal – third level). According to NRA analysts, Tomsk region is now dynamically growing region, whose economic growth is based on the traditional growth drivers (natural resources and their processing), as well as the new solutions (development of innovative production, implementation of high technology, advanced investment legislature). The two key advantages of the Tomsk region are substantial natural reserves and special human capital assets. The most limiting factors for the economic growth of the Tomsk region are infrastructural limits and relatively small domestic market.

Review “Tomsk region: investment potential” is prepared by the analytical office of NRA based on the information, provided by the Investment department of the Tomsk region.
