1,140 people participated in the international forum "The pharmaceuticals industry and medical products"

On September, the first international forum "The pharmaceuticals industry and medical products" completed its work in the Tomsk Special Economic Zone.

1,140 people participated in the forum's events for two days. Over a hundred students of Tomsk Polytechnic University and the Siberian State Medical University worked as volunteers. Over five hundred of practicing specialists and students of the Tomsk higher education institutions visited the public lectures of foreign specialists and experts.  

"The forum generated immense interest among both intramural and extramural participants, who could not be in Tomsk due to external factors, - said the vice governor for scientific and educational block and innovative policy Mikhail Sonkin at the closing ceremony. - It is quite possible that the forum becomes an annual one and the Tomsk region becomes the main basis for its conducting".   

As we have previously reported, three agreements have been concluded in the framework of the Tomsk pharmaceutical forum - on cooperation of the Siberian State Medical University and "Farmkontrakt" state concern, on partnership between Tomsk Special Economic Zone and  "Farmkontrakt" state concern and on joining of the territorial innovative cluster "Pharmaceuticals industry, medical equipment and information technology" with the union of pharmaceutical and biomedical clusters of Russia.
