The VI International Conference on Electron Beam Welding and Related Technologies provided a platform for discussions on the key issues and prospects for advanced electron beam welding technology development among representatives of machine-building companies, including those involved in space, rocket, aviation, petroleum, energy, design, operations, research, education, and equipment manufacturers.
Today Russia faces the challenge of ensuring technological independence, and scientists and industrialists in Tomsk are actively engaged in addressing this issue. This is due, in part, to the synergy created by the region's strong scientific base, training of personnel, and high-technology industries.
In Tomsk, unique welding, 3D printing, coating, and other technologies utilizing an electron beam are developed and implemented. These types of welding are significant technologies for aviation, space, nuclear, and many other industries, as they are essential for producing gas turbine engines, highlighting their importance in achieving technological independence.
The event was organized by TETA Scientific and Production Company, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Scientific and Technological Research Institute "Progress", and Technology of Mechanical Engineering Publishing Center.
