The creditworthiness rating of the Tomsk Region raised to ruBBB+

Following a review of the Tomsk Region’s creditworthiness, the Expert RA rating agency has upgraded the region’s credit rating to ruBBB+ with a Stable outlook. The bond issues of the Tomsk Region have also been upgraded to the regional rating level.

According to the agency, the rating upgrade reflects a stable trend in economic development, a balanced regional budget, strong demographic indicators, a well-developed labour market and other positive factors.

Analysts note that the Tomsk Region maintains sufficient liquidity to meet its expenditure commitments in a timely manner, including interest payments.
