The Tomsk Region was among the first outside the Urals to legislatively approve support for responsible business

The Law “On the Development of Responsible Business” was drafted in accordance with instructions from Anatoly Seryshev, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District.

The adopted law introduces the concept of a business responsibility rating (ECG rating) in the region. This rating will allow companies with a high rating to receive government support as a priority. The law therefore prioritizes trustworthy companies that work with the state to achieve national development goals, ranging from demographic goals to the formation of budgetary tax revenues.

This legislation ensures that trustworthy businesses will receive government support in various forms, including financial, property, administrative, and infrastructure support. The quantitative value of the business's ECG rating will also be considered in public and municipal procurement processes to confirm its reputation.
