Governor Vladimir Mazur discussed areas of cooperation with Dmitry Bakanov, head of Roscosmos, at SPIEF

At the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Vladimir Mazur, Governor of the Tomsk Region, and Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos, discussed cooperation in the development of space technologies and personnel training.

Vladimir Mazur noted that Tomsk State University (TSU) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) are part of the scientific and educational consortium supporting Roscosmos, known as the Constellation of Roscosmos (Sozvezdiye Roskosmosa). Graduates of Tomsk universities contribute to addressing the corporation’s challenges, working both within Roscosmos and across its affiliated organisations.

The Governor invited Roscosmos to assess the potential of Tomsk Polytechnic University, which currently conducts testing of electronic components for resistance to radiation factors in outer space.

Tomsk enterprises are also able to offer the state corporation a wide range of industrial products and to develop services based on space technologies to support Roscosmos’s objectives.
