Vladimir Mazur, Governor of the Tomsk Region, and Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft, held a working meeting. They discussed the development of production and investment activities, as well as scientific and technological cooperation and the implementation of the company’s social initiatives in the Tomsk Region.
Vladimir Mazur emphasised that the Tomsk Region and Gazprom Neft have maintained a long-standing partnership. The company’s production enterprises — Tomskneft VNK (Eastern Oil Company) and Gazpromneft-Vostok — are active in the region. There are also projects of strategic importance underway to develop new domestic technologies for exploring and producing hard-to-recover oil reserves.
“A significant part of the reserves remains undeveloped due to the geological characteristics of the fields. This is the situation in Siberia and across the country as a whole. At the same time, oil and gas production remains one of the strategically important sectors of the national and regional economy,” said Vladimir Mazur during the meeting with Alexander Dyukov.
The Governor proposed that the head of Gazprom Neft establish a working group to address the current and strategic issues of cooperation between the region and the company in a timely manner.
