The official visit of the Tomsk region delegation to Tokyo has started
On June 8, the official visit of the Tomsk region delegation headed by the governor of the region Sergei Zhvachkin to Tokyo started.
The head of the region arrived in the Japanese capital on an official three-day visit at the invitation of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and personally the governor Yoichi Masudzoe.
Within the framework of the visit, the Tomsk governor will hold a working meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in Japan Yevgeny Afanasyev, will present the investment potential of the region to the Japanese businesses with the assistance of JETRO, the Japanese organization for the promotion of the foreign trade development, will get acquainted with the experience of creation and improvement of quays.
The Tomsk governor Sergei Zhvachkin will discuss with the governor of Tokyo Yoichi Masudzoe the prospects of cooperation of the regions and will sign the memorandum of understanding and cooperation. In the presence of the heads of regions the agreements on cooperation and exchange of students as well will be signed by the leaders of the National Research Tomsk State University and the Tokyo Metropolitan University.
