Tomsk innovation and production companies establish business contacts with Vietnamese partners

During the first day of their visit to Vietnam the Tomsk delegation met with the government and business circles of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Business meetings were held in the Vung Tau office of the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce, at People’s Committee (regional administration), and in the headquarters of Vietsovpetro, Russian-Vietnamese JV, the key producer of the Vietnamese economy residing in Vung Tau.

At the meetings Head of the Tomsk Region Department for Development of Entrepreneurship and Real Economy Andrey Trubitsyn presented the potential of Tomsk Region and opportunities of the Tomsk SEZ of technical innovation type, and also introduced the members of the delegation – managers of small and medium innovative companies of Tomsk Region.

According to Andrey Trubitsyn, products and services of Tomsk innovative companies aroused keen interest among the representatives of Vietsovpetro and the Vietnamese business men. More detailed negotiations of the Tomsk businessmen with Vietsovpetro technical experts are planned for the today’s “contact exchange” meeting. The agenda of the trade and economic mission includes a visit to the Vung Tau industrial park.

During the first day of the joint work the heads of Tomsk and Ba Ria-Vung Chambers of Commerce attained a tentative agreement on a potential return visit of Vietnamese companies to Tomsk in 2012.
