The Up-to-Date Methods of Treatment of Opisthorchiasis will be Discussed on the International Conference in Tomsk.
The International research-to-practice conference "Opisthorchiasis. Underestimated danger" will start working in the House of scientists (Sovetckaya Street, 45) on April 14th, at 13:00. Aleksey Kniazev, the Vice-Governor on the education and research complex and innovation policy addressed the greetings to the participants.
The leading specialists in the field of immunopathology, epidemiology, therapy of trematode infections and human oncological diseases connected with them who came from Netherlands, USA, Germany, Thailand, Switzerland, Great Britain and also from different regions of the Russian Federation, will take part in the conference work. Ludmila Ogorodova, the Vice Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Science, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and Maria Yazbanbeksh, the head of the parasitology laboratory of the Medical Center of the University of Leiden (Netherlands) will act as moderators.
"The conference will allow the representatives of medical community and academic science of Tomsk region to get up-to-date scientifically grounded information, will put up to worldwide experience in diagnostic and treatment of Opisthorchiasis," - says Olga Fedorova, the professor of the Siberian State Medical University.
The main target of the Conference is creation of the partner net between Russian specialists and representatives of the leading Academic Centers of Europe, Asia, USA. During the Conference there will be considered the topical questions in regard to the modern technologies of diagnostics and monitoring of helminth invasion, will be introduced the new strategies of therapy and methods of trematode infection control.
