Results of the Year of Tourism in CIS countries will be summed up in Tomsk region
An International Forum will take place in Tomsk on November 21-22: "A year of tourism in CIS-countries. Fraternity of countries and peoples: heritage, events, education and technologies".
Representatives of the RF Ministry of Culture, Federal Agency on CIS, compatriots living abroad dealing with international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), Executive Board of CIS, Federal Agency on Tourism, state bodies and companies of tourism industry, Russian Union of Tourism Industry, councils from CIS countries will come to participate in the Forum.
An Agreement between the Tomsk region administration and Rossotrudnichestvo is expected to be signed at the Forum that would allow our region to develop projects aimed at strengthening the international relations, cooperate in humanitarian sphere and form a positive image of the region abroad.
The participants will discuss the issues related to historical and cultural reservations and their role in the development of culture-oriented and cognitive tourism, the value of national ethnic and cultural peculiarities for attracting tourists into the regions, and improvement of inter-regional transport logistics. At the round-table discussions the participants will review such issues as "Gastronomic tourism as a tool to attract investments into the regional economy", "Role of IT technologies in promoting the tourist product", etc.
A regional one-reelers and video presentations "PereDvizheniye" (Movement) Awards Ceremony will also be held during the Forum. Applications are currently being accepted to compete in several nominations: "It is worth seeing!" During the Forum the guests of our region will visit Tomsk cultural and cognitive tourism objects: "Okolitsa" agricultural park, Ruyan-town, will take part in excursion programs "Multi-confessional Tomsk", "Tomsk legends. Emerald City" and in the gastronomic tour.
