Tomsk Region foreign trade activity intensified in 2010

Tomsk Region foreign trade turnover in 2010 increased by 12m US dollars against 2009 and totaled 957m US dollars. The increase was a result of export growth by 98.1m US dollars.
Tomsk Region had remained export-oriented: export share in the total foreign trade volume was 85%, and import 15%.
In 2010, 314 entities were involved in foreign trade.
Background
The region was involved in foreign trade with 75 countries. Most turnover was generated by trade with the USA, China, Kazakhstan, Finland, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The turnover with those countries totaled 892.5m US dollars, which is 93.3% of the total volume of export-import transactions.
