Tomsk to prepare beforehand a site for a glass factory of Japan’s AGC Glass

Tomsk government will allocate 4.3m rubles to prepare land for construction of an industrial park to attract Japan's AGC Glass Europe (part of Asahi Glass Company) which is currently selecting a site for its new glass factory.

According to the minutes of the 7th session of the Legislative Duma of Tomsk Region, the deputies adopted a bill under which the Region will provide 4.3m rubles to Tomsk District for geotechnical investigation and land surveying work on a 80 ha land plot.

The Governor of Tomsk Region Sergey Zhvachkin informed the deputies that a Japanese delegation will visit Tomsk next week to discuss the project in details. The governor reminded that Tomsk Region is among the three regions competing to host the factory and stressed the need to strengthen the positions of the Region.
