Governor Sergey Zhvachkin gaining federal media popularity

11.09.2012

The Governor of Tomsk Region Sergey Zhvachkin boosted his positions in the media presence ranking of the leaders of Russian regions monthly compiled by REGNUM and Medialogia.

He achieved the 4th position among the leaders of Siberian regions in the August rating, now ranking above the governors of Novosibirsk and Irkutsk Regions, Krasnoyarsk and Zabaikalsk Krais, the Republics of Buryatia, Khakassia, Tyva and Altai, and below the governors of Altai Krai and Kemerovo and Omsk Regions.

The governor of Tomsk Region and the governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai have made the most impressive leap up (+3 points). Media researchers explain the media's spotlight on Sergey Zhvachkin by his successful presentation of his new team and his meeting with the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Tomsk where he suggested developing forest fire prevention proposals for the federal government.
