Tomsk Region and Chinese provinces Shandong and Hubei to Expand Cooperation

Cooperation of the Tomsk region with Shandong province is successfully developing in the forestry and agro-industrial complex areas. There are implementation of timber industrial park in Asinovskiy district, joint manufacture of products for Swedish company IKEA on the base SiberLes enterprise in the Zyryansky district, construction of meat-breeding complex in the Tomsk Agro-Holding in Pervomaysky district and the dairy farm in the Tomsky district.

At the meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Committee of the National Political Consultative Council of China Mr. Lei Jianguo, the Tomsk delegation discussed about the implementation of joint investment projects and plans to expansion of cooperation in the woodworking field and the creation of greenhouse farms.

The provincial government is ready to support companies working with the Tomsk region. Chinese colleagues called the Tomsk region as the most responsible in working with investors, which uses an individual approach in each project. Following the meeting agreement, Mr. Lei Jianguo is going to visit the Tomsk region in June of this year.

The Tomsk delegation also discussed about possibilities and plans for the development of cooperation in Hubei province. Point out, that Hubei United Investment Corporation on behalf on the woodworking company Fuhan has started to work in the implementation of creation of Asino timber industrial park. The company has been working in the woodworking industry for more than 50 years, and now they have representative offices in all over the world.

As the result, Chinese partners supported the proposal to sign an agreement on cooperation with the Tomsk region.
