Tomsk Region to Develop a Digital Economy with the Yandex company

October, 17 on the International Forum “Open Innovations” held in Moscow technopark Skolkovo the Tomsk region Governor Sergey Zhvachkin and Vice President for corporate relations of the Yandex company Marina Yanina signed a memorandum of cooperation.

 They agreed on joint elaboration of information telecommunication technologies, popularization of the Russian internet services, implementation educational projects in the field of computer literacy and internet technology development.

 The Tomsk governor said that the cooperation with the Yandex will open new opportunities for innovation business in the region.

“The Tomsk region have a strong positions in intellectual machine industry, production automatization, radioelectronics and others disruptive innovation. In the partnership with Tomsk universities, we are actively developing an information technologies for the real economic sector, social sphere, comfortable urban environment. In cooperation with the Yandex these projects will be more rapidly and effectively,” noted Sergey Zhvachkin.
