Tomsk Governor and Gazprom CEO Prolong Scientific Technical Cooperation Agreement For Three Years

During St. Petersburg international economic forum, the Governor of the Tomsk region, Sergei Zhvachkin, and the CEO of PAO Gazprom, Alexei Miller, signed a roadmap on broadening the use of Tomsk production and technologies for the enterprises of the holding through 2023.
The Region and the company began concerted efforts in the research and technology sphere among the first pioneers back in January 2013. The term of the current agreement has run out as of 2020. Sergei Zhvachkin and Alexey Miller noted full completion of all plans and arrangements. Tomsk companies have supplied Gazprom with more than 20 billion rubles worth of equipment and services. Today, eleven enterprises in the region produce more than seventy different products for the gas company. Among them are anti-surge valves, free standing power complexes, portable defect detectors, cabling and wiring products, manometric production, and communications gear.
Cooperation between the Tomsk Region and Gazprom allowed the introduction of a mechanism of long-term agreements for production and supply of import substituting items. For example, Tomsk electromechanical plant, named in honor of Vachrushev, as well as research and production company, Micran, produce axial control valves for the industry and equipment for radio relay communication.
To continue this work, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the governor of the Tomsk Region, Sergei Zhvachkin, and the CEO of PAO Gazprom, Alexey Miller, signed a roadmap of broadening the use of Tomsk production and technologies for the enterprises of the holding through 2023.
Within one and a half months, the document envisions forming an additional list of production, which Tomsk enterprises can produce and Gazprom can use in its technological objectives. Production of a test sample of the necessary equipment, its testing, certification, participation in tenders and other procedures were planned after analyzing the list.
The new agreement will become a new step for the region in development of plants, and in interaction of science with the largest company in the country.
