India’s ONGC increased oil production in Tomsk Region by 9% over the nine months

In January-September 2011, OOO Nord Imperial and OOO Allianceneftegaz owned by India's state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) produced 606,000 tons of oil in Tomsk Region, which is 9% more than in January-September 2010.

Background

Nord Imperial holds exploration and production licenses to Festivalnoye, Snezhnoye, and Kiev-Eganskoye oil fields, and Allianceneftegaz holds licenses to Mayskoye, South-Festivalnoye No. 1, 2, 3, and Verkhne-Nyurolskoye No. 1 and 2 oil fields. The companies are currently developing Festivalnoye, Kiev-Eganskoye, and Mayskoye fields.

Nord Imperial and Allianceneftegaz are subsidiaries of Imperial Energy which, in January 2009, was acquired by India's ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), the overseas arm of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
