Khanty-Mansiysk international IT forum of Yugra and Tomsk region

June 4 VI international IT forum with BRICS countries in Khanty-Mansiysk is open; it’s organized by the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region government and Tomsk region administration.

Tomsk region delegation is headed by the governor Sergey Zhvachkin. It also includes vice governors Alexey Knyazev, Leonid Reznikov, Andrey Antonov, representatives of national research Tomsk polytechnic and Tomsk state universities, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, Incom, Spinor, Bubuka, Contek Soft, RosInnovatsiya, Rubius, Elekt and Elecard companies.

June 5, Sergey Zhvachkin will give a speech at a panel discussion of strategic congress “Information technologies as innovation basis of strategical development of BRICS regions”, as well as hold a meeting with Natalya Komarova, governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region. Heads of regions will discuss joint projects, particularly, construction of bridge over the Vakh river and Northern latitude road.

VI international IT forum takes place June 4–5, 2014 in Khanty-Mansiysk under the slogan “Information community for everyone: turning goals into actions.” Its key objectives are “Open Government”, development of e-democracy, access to informational and communicational technologies for Russian regions and their exploitation by the public authorities. Forum is typically attended by IT specialists from public authorities, business, civic institutions, scientific and educational community, and international organizations experts. In addition, in 2014 international BRICS experts are invited to participate in the forum.
