Tomsk Region to spend 41 million rubles to develop general town planning schemes of district centers

Tomsk Region Administration plans to spend over 20m rubles to finance municipal entities’ town planning efforts in 2011. Municipal governments will be granted a subsidy from the Region budget under co-financing terms in the amount of 50% of the estimated project cost. It is assumed that town planning tenders will start in the second quarter of 2011.

Background

In 2011, around 41m rubles will be spent on development of 16 general town planning schemes, and land use and development recommendations for all district centers and the city of Kedrovy.
Currently, there are four companies in Tomsk Region who do town planning for cities and towns. They are Russian State Research and Design Institute of Urban Planning (St. Petersburg), OOO Tomskgrazhdanproekt (Tomsk Civil Design), OAO Tomskagropromproekt (Tomsk Agricultural Industry Design), Municipal Enterprise Architectural Design Bureau (Tomsk Region, Kargasok).
