Gazprombank ready to invest in large projects in Tomsk Region

Tomsk Region Governor Sergey Zhvachkin and Gazprombank CEO Andrey Akimov signed an agreement to facilitate further cooperation between Tomsk Region and Gazprombank.

"According to the agreement, Gazprombank is ready to consider its involvement in funding priority federal and regional social and investment programs implemented in Tomsk Region," a report says.

The region and the bank will cooperate in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects in transport and public utilities sector using public-private partnership mechanisms. Projects in question also include implementation of energy efficiency and energy saving solutions.

"Tomsk Region is interested in developing a partnership with one of the biggest financial organizations in Russia such as Gazprombank. This agreement will give new impetus to a number of social programs and infrastructure projects in the region," Sergey Zhvachkin commented.

Gazprombank is a Russian commercial bank, the third largest bank in Russia. It was founded in July 1990. Gazprombank provides banking services to enterprises in gas industry and other non-financial sectors. Gazprombank currently has about 45,000 corporate and around 3 million private clients.
