The residents of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone have saved about eight million roubles in the first half of 2013 owing to tax benefits

The opportunity to receive tax and customs benefits when importing certain goods is widely used by the residents of the Tomsk special economic zone.

According to information from the Tomsk Customs the amount of benefits provided to the residents for payment of the customs duties in the first half of 2013 is about 8 million roubles. The benefits were granted during the customs clearance of the goods imported from abroad under customs regime of free customs zone. This customs procedure includes full exemption of payment of customs duties and taxes and undoubtedly, contributes to reducing costs when implementing the projects in the Special Economic Zone. Components to earlier imported equipment necessary to conduct technical-and-introduction activity are dominating in the structure of goods imported by the residents in the reporting period.
