15.11.2013

The Group of Companies “Aerofuels” has purchased a petroleum depot near the Tomsk airport “Bogashevo”, planning to create one of the largest petroleum depots in Tomsk Region with the volume of investments as high as 270 million rubles during three years.

According to the press office of the company, “Aerofuels” has recently obtained the certificate of ownership. The depot is situated in proximity to the fuel and lubricant depot purchased in 2011. As a result of merging these complexes, the volume of depot will make up about 20 thousand cubic meters. The amount of planned investment into the terminal is 270 million rubles within the nearest three years.

“Creating a large transshipping terminal in Tomsk Region, operating, first of all, for export of petrochemicals from the region, will enable local enterprises to greatly reduce the expenses for logistics and help them enter the general Russian as well as international market by arranging deliveries of dark and light petrochemicals by railroad. Besides, operation of this enterprise will provide additional highly-qualified jobs and tax income to the budget of the region”, said General Director of “Aerofuels” Yuri Popov.

“Aerofules” established its affiliate “FC Tomsk” Ltd. for maintaining the petroleum depot in 2011. In 2012 they obtained all required licenses and certificates and started work on storage and transshipment of petrochemicals. Since the moment of purchasing they have invested into modernization and operation of the depot about 120 million rubles, and this year, within the framework of retrofitting, the investments volume is to amount to 45 million rubles.

“Having studied the market and demands of Tomsk Region for such services, we came to the conclusion that the region has a great capacity for production and supply of petrochemicals and needs creation of a large transshipment terminal close to the railroad. The closest transshipment terminal is situated in Novosibirsk Region”, said Director of “FC Tomsk” Sergey Ozerov.

SC “Aerofuels” has actively been engaged in reconstruction and construction of new fuelling complexes meeting the modern requirements of Russian and international organizations of civil aviation since 1999. The Group of Companies “Aerofuels” has invested into construction of airport fuelling complexes (FC) in Russia about 4.5 billion rubles. Since 2010 the company also has been dealing with transshipment and storage of light petrochemicals, namely diesel fuel and petrol in Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, Kursk and Kirov, and since the second quarter of 2014 it plans to do this in Nizhny Novgorod as well.
