“McDonald’s” is to Open Its First Restaurant in Tomsk in 2014

Ivan Klein, Mayor of Tomsk, has discussed with “McDonald’s” representatives the prospects of implementation of the investment project of the company, which plans to open its first restaurant in Krasnoarmeyskaya Street in Tomsk in 2014.

The company’s investment in one restaurant totals about 120-150 million rubles. The company intends to open its first restaurant in Krasnoarmeyskaya Street in Tomsk as early as the end of 2014. Besides, “McDonald’s” intends to build several fast-food restaurants in Tomsk. Ivan Klein, Mayor of Tomsk, said at the meeting that he was in favour of implementation of such investment projects, however, they should not contradict the interests and opinions of the citizens of the city and the existing legislature.

As it was reported earlier, in May “McDonald’s” won the tenancy tender for two plots of land for construction of public catering enterprises in Tomsk.

One of the plots totaling 2996 sq.m. is situated in Prospekt Mira - 39b, the second one totaling 1481 sq.m – in Krasnoarmeyskaya Street – 123a. The representative of the world-famous network of fast-food restaurants has purchased the tenancy for the period of three years with the annual rent as high as 2 million and 2.5 million rubles.
