Aleksey Knyazev Introduces Tomsk Engineering Centre in Khabarovsk

Deputy Governor for Science and Education Sector and Innovation Policy Aleksey Knyazev spoke on the experience of creating Tomsk Regional engineering centre at a strategic meeting in Khabarovsk. Tomsk Region is one of the nine regions creation of regional engineering centres at the territory of which was supported by the Ministry for Economic Development of RF.

“The regional engineering centre was created four months ago, and during that period outstanding results have been achieved”, said Aleksey Knyazev. “The centre fulfils the functions of a “one-stop-shop” for enterprises which require timely, high-quality and inexpensive engineering services. They have received enquiries from Tomsk enterprises which need services on mathematical modelling of production processes, examination of design documentation, manufacture of enclosures of products and so on”.

According to Aleksey Knyazev, the centre plans to arrange the certification procedure for engineering personnel in partnership with Tomsk Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Moreover, agreements between Tomsk professors’ assembly and National Research Tomsk State University have been signed.

The regional engineering centre continues to establish the data basis of suppliers and customers of engineering services: at present 86 organizations of Tomsk Region have declared their readiness to render such services. The main directions of activities of the regional engineering centre are instrument making, information technology, medical equipment and materials, chemistry and pharmacology.
