Avic Forestry is ready to perform a large investment project in agro-industrial complex of Tomsk Region

Negotiations between the Tomsk delegation and the Chinese Avic Forestry took place within the framework of the 1st Russian-Chinese Expo. Avic Forestry is considering the possibility of creation of several agricultural production facilities.   

As reported by the deputy governor of Tomsk region for agro-industrial policy and natural resource management Andrey Knorr, the parties have agreed to create a working group for preliminary project works, marketing surveys, development of business plans and technical solutions for construction of new agro-industrial objects. Moreover, Avic Forestry is looking for attendant partners who may also take part in Tomsk projects.    

Special emphasis was made on the offers to place agricultural production facilities in Asinovskiy district of the region, where “RosKitInvest”, a Russian-Chinese enterprise of full wood processing, is already successfully working. Tomsk`s party is ready to provide seven municipal sites with overall square of 7800 hectares and infrastructure (access ways, power supply, possible gas supply). Also, investment projects may expect privileges provided for investors on the territory of Tomsk region.

Vice-governor Andrey Knorr reported: “The Chinese party will require a half-year to study our offer. At the first stage we expect to complete the projects of dairy cattle production with the greenhouse facilities following them, and projects of other agro-industrial complex later”.
