Tomsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University won in a contest for state support

Tomsk Polytechnic University and Tomsk State University have become alike 14 other higher educational institutions which won an opened contest for state support.   

The two Tomsk universities will get 600 million rubles each to increase their competitiveness. The funds will be assigned within the state programme “Development of education”.    

The open state support contest was held in 2013.

As a result, 15 winner higher educational institutions received subsidies. This year council for increase of competitiveness of the leading Russian universities prepared recommendations for further support of 14 institutions.

We`d like to remind that TPU and TSU became the winners of a contest among higher education institutions for subsidies for the measures that would enhance promotion of the institutions in international rating. As planned by the Ministry of Education, by 2020 at least five Russian universities should enter the first hundred of the world`s best higher educational institutions.
