“Rostekh” plans to build a production of 3D microsystems in Tomsk

30.06.2014

“Rostekh” plans to launch line production of high-density radioelectronic modules of new generation in Tomsk special economic zone by 2016.

We`d like to remind that the negotiations about this production line took place at the beginning of this year between the governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin and the management of the group of companies ‘Rostekh”.

Experimental and technological center of Moscow radiotechnical institute of Russian Academy of Sciences is starting work in December 2014. During 2015 finishing operation and qualification of pilot production technology are planned to be performed on its base. Serial production of 3D microsystems should be launched at the plant of  high-density radioelectronic modules of the new generation in Tomsk by 2016.

“At the moment there is no such production in Russia, only at experimental level”, said United Instrument Corporation CEO Aleksandr Yakunin, “Russian technical producers use western products or national microschemes, which are less reliable, more properly sized and less effective than foreign ones. It is some kind of a breakthrough for Russian radioelectronics.”

3D microsystem is a brand new type of electronic modules for modern radioelectronic equipment, comprising microschemes, connection elements, made with frameless element base. The main advantages of  3D microsystems compared to  radioelectronic equipment components, based on traditional technology, – it’s a significant dimensional decrease of redioelectronic equipment (by 4–8 times), as well as efficiency enhancement, power reduction, reliability enhancement.
