The Tomsk region presented its investment potential at an exposition in Cannes

Tomsk presented its regional and infrastructure projects to foreign investors and developers at the 25th anniversary of MIPIM-14 real estate exhibition in Cannes (France). 

At Russia's key exhibition and conference 'Invest in Russia!', Head of Regional Investment Department Alexander Fedchenko reported on the investment potential of the region. Deputy Head of the RF Ministry of Regional Development Svetlana Ivanova visited Tomsk's booth and got familiarized with the three major projects of the city: Zone of Advanced Economic Growth Tomskie Naberezhnye, Technology Innovative SEZ based Business Center, and Tomsk Industrial Park.

"Our task is to significantly increase the amount of investments in the region's economy and social sphere, noted Alexander Fedchenko. For that purpose investors need such infrastructure which is created in the region with employment of budget funds, and is organized and controlled by modern institutes for development".

As part of the business trip, Tomsk delegation conducted negotiations on cooperation with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies for assistance and attraction of investments and for creation in Tomsk of the Managers and Developers Guild representative office based on the Corporation for Development.

A number of meetings with potential investments were held in Cannes. Tomsk delegates discussed with the management of Torgovy Kvartal Development Company the prospects of Mikhailovskaya Roscha Project execution - in the nearest time it will be presented to the Regional Council for Investment Climate Improvement, and should the Project be implemented successfully, the scope of investments will amount to 200 million dollars.

Negotiations with Hilton Company on construction of a hotel as part of Tomskie Naberezhnye Project and with Oxylane Group on selection of a place for construction of Decathlon Sport's Store were carried on.

Tomsk delegates discussed with Arep Company the strengths and weaknesses of Tomskie Naberezhnye Project from the town-planning and architectural points of view. They also agreed for the Company's Chief Architect Andreas Heim to visit Tomsk in April. In addition to large-scale Tomskie Naberezhnye, Arep's special interest was attracted by a project of Science and Technology Museum.

Company Fresenius Medical Care offered to build in Tomsk a special dialysis center. The Company is also interested in an opportunity of developing a joint educational program for medical personnel training, which is still negotiated on with the regional public health department.
