Tomsk Region became the leading Siberian region in industrial production growth

As compared to the industrial production parameters over January-March2013, in 2014 the production of the region has grown up by 6%. Whilst in Siberian Federal District (SFD), over the same period of time the industrial production has grown up by 2,4%.

Statistical data shows that in SFD the maximum industrial growth happened in Tomsk Region (6%), Krasnoyarsk Krai (4,1%), the Republic of Altai (3%), Buryartia (3,2%), and Kemerovo Region (2,5%). Novosibirskstat registered some negative trend in Zabaikalsky Krai (4,1%) and in Novosibirsk Region (1,1%).

As compared to the first quarter of 2013, industrial production index in Tomsk Region has increased 1,7 times for machinery and equipment production, and 1,6 times for oil products and nuclear materials. As for manufacturing industries and generation and distribution of power, gas, and water, such index has grown by 26,9% and 2% accordingly. Food production has grown 1,6 times, manufacture of rubber and plastic products by 29,8%, and textile and clothing production by 9,7%.
